Around last year there were two articles on AI one spoke of reason to be in the industry and another a negative scenario where things go awry for the AI mechanism. Given below are the two blog posts that was my take on the Sunday magazine article from the newspaper publication, The Hindu Group.

Interestingly, both these blogs are not clear stance on whether to accept the new Technology or to question it. This thought is echoes in the last Sunday article where if things do go bad taking my way or highway stands of the Government might not be productive seemed a valid point to be considered.
Price Tag Factor of All Thing Great and Small!
It is like the world of commerce and economic can only look at advance in price tags and stock value rise. Some new industries started as few people’s passion worked in a garage space on a parked cycle. The fact that as an ideation bud to when it is bloomed bouquet on the official dining area centerpiece is a transition of a sort.
All look at the roses and forget if you pick it there are sharp thorns in it. These thorns could be ethical, moral, psychological, social, et al. There are innumerable shortcomings with each innovation, vehicles replaced taking long walks in the countryside watching daffodils crowding the horizon. The Wordsworth’s words are lost to the present generation of children whose knowledge of flowers are the emojis that they pass around.
Single Minded Pursuit of Happiness
A single-minded pursuit of virtual happiness to make life easier and less strenuous means to ease the hardship, but the fruits of conquering a challenge in real world lies in using skills that we studied for and developed since school days. Now these are replaced by easy-to-use assisted AI where if we lose the art of double-checking facts and just blindly believe in the output AI produces – then, we are subjecting ourselves to voluntary blind belief in AI. Of course, this issue can be made easy to rectify by ensuring a comprehensive crosscheck option within the AI.
Yet, it does not automatically mean that truth will be upheld. Any technology in the hands of the wrong person with wrong intention eventually leads to bad and sad ending. Our history is festered with it. As humans, we are prone to repeat our mistakes repeatedly. Yes, I know to err is human and to forgive is Divine – all said and done, this quote does not help in the situation at all! So, the premises of each innovation must have to be something that brings the thoughts of its future implication.
Policing and Worldwide Web Rules
The policing part of the society must be diverse and from all strata of the society. If the efforts are of no proper ideation and execution then, we stand to lose to the eventual outcome that scares us with the speed at which we slide down to our own downfall.
It is not just about industries where these AI would be assisting or persisting, but it is also something that need some close watch on how they don’t result in disruption during being AI Assistant. I believe a human controllable option to stop the AI from Hallucinating in mid compute would be an option. But the human level of being able to do check on a large data that an application can cover and analyze is truly humongous.
Maybe we there are checkpoints at various vital node points of AI search and research then, there might be a way to explore where and when the AI is acting weird.
Hypothetically Exploring a Scenario
Let’s say I am writing an article – my level of AI assistance would be in researching, bullet pointing key functions, case study examples how they relate to my central thesis support and non-support samples, ideal outcome, and hypothetical outcome, predicted reality, overall cost to society or individual due to its usage and outcome et al.
The criterion can go on and sometimes for me it is not settled until the final draft it out. Because editing never ends, period! As a writer, AI can help me gather data for article, but the structuring, drawing out inferences that are not clearly seen but inferenced takes time to achieve. But if this whole thing can be written by an AI in some minutes or less then, human virtue of jumping logic needs to be coded in an AI.
The unique angle and everything can be coded, but will that give humans a better personality, now that, all the hard manual work are reduced with AI Assistance? I find that question leading to an addict relationship with AI eventually a standard format machine would be your company being repetitive and overly polite.
Deal Breaker
Here is the deal, the actual human beings cannot be replaced with machines or AI Run Android machines. How much every they esthetically represent the human being with Baywatch bodies. But then, sometimes they might be your best company after all!? Ironically, true! By the time, we get the Android machines out, they would truly be terminator of human relationship or another Data trying to become human and trying to create another Android machine only to realize well let’s do away with the old version humans.
I am not trying to draw a version of horrific future, but someone who is not aware of the technology’s influences on the human mind’s well-being and its reactions on psychological and emotional scape of human mind cannot possibly be ignored and sidelined. With the amount of screentime that I have has made me seem almost half dead in my brain, yet stories keep me together and that happens to be interest that keeps me going with new plots and progress. My field of work is writing stories and there is multiple million ways to tell a story and that too excellent ones! Even if, the AI can now tell a story in more version that one human. The reading of it would take an entire human life. We are freeing up time for what if we forget about getting culture and grow a relationship with another human being that we are satisfied with another machine!
Why Are We Isolating Ourselves?!!
Truly the article writer’s exclamation “…, ultimately, who the hell are we if all our ideas and thoughts can be replicated by machines?” – I would say a valid question to ask for this era thinkers. Art is replicated, Math is replicated, Sciences are replicated, let say everything gets replicated, then what are the humans here for? Science was a drive to find proof of God’s existence, now I science wants to play God and free Apples, maybe?!!!
